Sharon Housing Partnership Meeting Minutes December 13, 2011 (Approved January 12, 2012)

In Attendance: Susan Saunders, Alan Lury, Lou Modestino, Mary Tobin

Meeting opened at 7:30PM

Change in Meeting Day

Members discussed changing regular meeting day from the second Tuesday of the month to the second Thursday of the month. Members present voted unanimously to change to the new day contingent on Jane Desberg not having a problem with this change.

BNEB Proposal

The SHP sent a letter of support concerning the BBNE development on Old Post Road to the selectmen.

Sharon Commons

The group discussed whether the housing component of this project would be developed as originally conceived if the owner was forced to sell the property. The zoning for this site was changed by Town Meeting to 40R. The zoning would remain with the property if sold. How this would affect the affordable housing originally planned for this site is unknown.

Affordable Housing Trust

Lou Modestino volunteered to be the SHP representative on this board. Mary Tobin volunteered to follow up with Roni Thaler concerning whether there were still openings on this board and how to apply for appointment.

New Business

Lou Modestino shared information on a new CHAPA initiative called “Welcome Home Massachusetts”. Susan Saunders will follow up with contact person at CHAPA.
